WHAT TO EXPECT

EVERY SUNDAY IS SOMEBODY’S FIRST SUNDAY

Here at The Door, we understand how intimidating your first Sunday (or Wednesday) can be. We strive to be an inviting community that cultivates a welcoming atmosphere for first (and second and third and forth) time visitors. Here are a few FAQs we get from time to time, so you’ll know what to expect when you visit.

WHAT ARE YOUR SERVICES LIKE?

We have two services on Sundays at 11:00am & 7:00pm and one service on Wednesday at 7:00pm. Each of the services are approximately 1 hour in length. Expect each service to open with praise and worship, followed by a time of prayer requests, announcements, and giving. This is followed by the main message (sermon), which is normally 30 minutes long. Typically after the message, there is a longer response time of worship and prayer.

WHAT WILL HAPPEN WHEN I VISIT FOR THE FIRST TIME?

Expect to be greeted by a friendly face as you walk through the door and given a quick tour of the church. Ask our greeters or ushers any questions that you have and they’ll help direct you around the church. Grab a cup of coffee and chat with people in the sanctuary before service starts.

AM I EXPECTED TO GIVE?

Here at The Door we believe that giving is an act of worship. However, newcomers are under no obligation to give, nor will they be questioned about their finances.

WHERE DO THE KIDS GO DURING SERVICE?

We are a multi-generational church and have separate services geared towards kids during the main services. Infants and kids up to age three can be supervised in the nursery while we have specific services for Elementary aged kids. Parents are able to check-in their kids in at the Children’s Area before service starts. Programs are free of charge.

WHERE ARE YOU LOCATED?

130 E. 3rd St. Pittsburg, KS 66762 near the corner of 3rd and Broadway.

WHAT ARE MY NEXT STEPS?

We would love to see you here at The Door. If you're new here and wanting to connect, email Pastor Ryan. When you visit us on a Sunday, tell one of the Ushers or Greeters if you’re in need of a Bible and we’ll give you one, free of charge. Wondering about God, click here.
